My Journey with Safari Club International

My journey with SCI began in 2004 when I founded the North Texas Chapter. I served as Chapter President and remained an active member of the Board of Directors for over two decades. I served, created and supported every position on the North Texas Chapter Board of Directors. I currently serve as President of the Fort Worth Chapter and though my experience and involvement with SCI, I have implemented a very experienced, dedicated and diverse Board of Directors for the Fort Worth Chapter. The Fort Worth Chapter was officially approved at the May 2024 Board of Directors Meeting in Washington, D.C. In less than two years, the Fort Worth Chapter contributed $50,000.00 in 2024 and $65,000.00 in 2025 for a total of $115,000.00 as our 30% contribution!

My Journey with Safari Club International

One of my personal goals has always been to change a child’s life by providing opportunities to experience the outdoors and be introduced to hunting, fishing, and outdoor activities. I have been appointed to the Board of Trustees of the Outdoors Tomorrow Foundation and I’m extremely excited to introduce Outdoors Tomorrow Foundation to each SCI Chapter!

Outdoors Extravaganza Task Force

I am very proud to serve on the Outdoors Extravaganza Task Force this year. The Texas Trophy Hunters Association Outdoors Extravaganza—presented in partnership with Safari Club International—is the premier hunting and outdoor show in Texas. This year was a tremendous success. Every exhibitor space was sold out. Attendance increased significantly. And most importantly, exhibitors were extremely pleased with the outcome. For the first time, our Task Force implemented raffle items and awesome live auction items, which contributed to a substantial increase in net revenue for TTHA. I am proud of what we accomplished together, and I look forward to continuing to support the Outdoors Extravaganza in the years ahead. This show truly gets better and better every year.

I am very proud to serve on the Outdoors Extravaganza Task Force this year. Cinegética

I traveled to Madrid this year to attend Cinegética, Europe’s premier hunting, advocacy, and conservation convention. A standout feature of this year’s event was its vibrant and welcoming atmosphere. Families, and especially children, were actively engaged in the many activities, highlighting the generational continuity that helps ensure the future of this tradition.

I also had the opportunity to attend the European Committee meetings. I deeply appreciate how every European Chapter honors its own cultural traditions, as well as their shared commitment to hunting and the freedom to hunt. Every Chapter believes in the importance of passing values, respect and knowledge to the next generation. I am proud to say that I will be attending Cinegética every year going forward!

Through my years of leadership within SCI, I have also developed a strong understanding of the financial responsibilities that support our mission. I believe in sound fiscal management, responsible stewardship of member contributions, and strategic investment in programs that strengthen conservation efforts and protect hunters’ rights.

My Legal Career & Purpose

How I Live My Life

I live in Keller with my very understanding wife, Kenda, and our two daughters, who are at the center of everything I do. Some of my most meaningful experiences have come through hunting across Africa, South America, and throughout the United States. Each of these journeys has deepened not only my respect for wildlife, but also my understanding of the responsibility that comes with being a hunter. Over time, those experiences have shaped a strong personal commitment within me—to conserve wildlife and to protect hunters’ rights. To me, the two are inseparable, and I believe deeply that our future depends on honoring both.

How I Live My Life
